Like jewelry for your walls, these three artists create mixed media artwork that glimmers and sparkles.  Guest artist Kathe Fraga's fresh vibrant paintings are inspired by the romance of vintage floral French wallpapers and Chinoiserie with a modern twist. Coombs' new skyscapes have the pearlescent shimmer of sunsets and sunrises, and Lantzy's sculptural abstracts sparkle with jewel-like crystals and delicate metallic accents.

OPENING RECEPTION:
Saturday, September 3rd, 5-8pm

The exhibition explores the artist’s newest series of skycapes.  Inspired by mesmerizing cloud patterns and the softly undulating colors of the golden hour, she seeks to conjure a sense of peace.  Coombs’ use of metallic backgrounds in silvery pearls and golds stand in for sunlight and provide a soothing visual respite to rhythmic palette knife marks that indicate clouds, meticulously applied.
Stay tuned for more info.  The artist plans to attend the opening reception in Kennebunk on September 3.
